Literature Text

Let the rain fall and wash away my tears
Let it fall on my face and wash away my fears
I have nothing to hide, not anymore
I don’t have to worry about who I was before
The rain falls upon me, yet I don’t care
Let it soak me and try to destroy me beyond no repair
I am who I am and no one can change me
No one can destroy the person that I was born to be
So let the rain fall, let everything be washed away
Because nothing can hurt me starting today
Enjoy :)

I like the metaphor of the ineffectual rain and its ultimate, self-destructive demise.
